Born in Glasgow James worked for many years as a carpet designer eventually becoming Design Studio Manager for one of the largest carpet manufacturers in Yorkshire, and has now become highly successful as a landscape painter. His extensive knowledge of colour and composition flows naturally through the subtlety of hue and texture into his landscapes. Many of James's original paintings are now available in the form of Giclee print reproductions and are available in our Northedge Gallery.
